The scheme to refurbish and internally extend the existing industrial unit at Normanton Industrial Park near Wakefield to form the Headquarters building for YESSS Electrical was undertaken from inception to completion within 5 months.

The works included an internal extension of approximately 500m² to form additional office space, training and conference facilities and a main co-operative entrance including an additional glazed ’box’ entrance lobby to the existing façade. The facilities also benefitted from an updated heating/cooling system, CCTV, intruder and fire alarm systems and carefully considered access control systems.

MHA worked alongside the YESSS Electrical Area Manager and principal contractor to bring about a successful completion, often accommodating continuous changes due to the timescale for the works to be delivered.

The scheme also required collaborative working and liaising with the building control inspector and the planning department continuously in parallel with works being undertaken on site.
